Black Nation Records

One of our very first clients, Black Nation Records asked us to create a strong, independent identity for this historic Kalamazoo, Michigan techno record label. After a great deal of research, party going, and listening to the hard, dark, and soulful sounds of these unique records we dove headfirst into designing an identity system that matched the power and artistic talent from this Michigan imprint. From a revised logo mark, to a complete refresh of record sleeves, website, and business cards. With an eye towards the dark, gritty, DIY attitude (and necessity) of this genre of electronic music, we helped communicate the Black Nation brand and history.
